He is a co-developer of the SPAR-H human reliability analysis method and has co-authored textbooks: "Human Factors Engineering Guidelines for Human-Computer Interface in Process Control" and the "Human Reliability and Safety Analysis Data Handbook." Ronald Farris, M.S..https://bios.inl.gov/Lists/Researcher/DisplayOverrideForm.aspx?ID=109Ronald Farris, M.S..Ronald Farris has more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear field. He has worked as a nuclear operator and mechanic, an instructor in naval nuclear power, a safety engineer, facility operator processing high-level nuclear waste and has qualified on five nuclear plants,and now works in the human factors research. He has a M.S. in Industrial Technology from the University of Idaho and also has certificates in human performance and emergency management and planning. Currently Ron managers a Human Reliability Analysis tool known as SACADA for the NRC that collects human performance data from event scenarios in control room simulators.
