There is growing international concern about terrorists and rogue nations accessing nuclear material and crippling the delivery of basic needs. INL is addressing these important issues. It has essential capabilities to characterize and provide solutions that address the security of control systems and associated critical infrastructure. Control system test beds and real-world experimental facilities allow INL engineers and scientists to analyze, mitigate and verify sound security measures for public and private clients.

Facilities and Capabilities - INL has several dedicated test beds and test sites at which researchers can test theories, designs or prototypes in cyber and physical security of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities.

Researchers - INL researchers are known nationally and internationally for their expertise in addressing the needs of security and nuclear facilities worldwide. The lab’s team of expert cyber researchers and control system engineers provide ground truth and protective strategies for the control systems seen in every factory or building.
